Thanks for all your messages. Since I last wrote things have been very busy, but we've made a lot of progress. We are finalizing the Charity Night Show and have just printed off the couple of thousand flyers, thanks to all the help from Tracey in the Art Studio at Movie World. Details about the event are on the website and tickets go on sale as of the 29th June. That's just 4weeks to purchase your tickets. I've also been running around gathering items for the Auction. So far I've got some great sports merchandise, some awesome paintings Read More »

Wow the drought has really broken in the south east of Victoria. Massive flooding which has proven very destructive but will inevitably help the farmers of South Australia as the waters flow into and fill the Murray River.

The people I have come into contact down here in SA have been very generous. It is extremely refreshing to come to a relatively small country town and experience what it feels like to be a part of a close knit
community. What a contrast to Sydney!

Well, we are now well on the way and things are feeling much more real now that we have all been able to spend some time together. We were lucky enough to spend the first weekend of June together in Sydney. It was amazing to see the amount of work , the ideas and the situations that had brought our little group together. It really made me realise what ordinary individuals are capable of when they put their minds to it and realise what is possible. Having said that, there is a still lot to be done! I have been ... I've never spent so much time at the computer, on the phone and in meetings. I'm so used to being in the water with dolphins all day :-) It's a hard life. hee hee. Well like I said crazy week, but we're making lots of progress and I'm getting to meet lots of people in Village that I would never normally get to meet or work with. It's been great. It's also a giant learning curve too! I'm not used to organising such a big event, in fact I've never organised an event.

Well fingers crossed it all goes well. The date for the night show has been set. The 28th of July kicking off at 6pm. Please come! Flyers will hopefully be finished and printed by the end of next week. I can't wait to start selling those tickets. Well that ...

The pushbike trip into Gawler, 18km, took 45mins. Sun was out, it was an easy ride as there are few hills. 1.5hrs after being in the library, where I was using the internet (need to plug laptop into landline - but no home phone so gotta book library time), I emerged. The weather had changed - cloudy, windy, cold. I set out reluctantly. F14 (Freeling, where I live,
14km) and F10 passed. It was over half way before my gluteus max started to feel some heavy duty pain. I tried sitting left saddle, right saddle, standing up but it all came back to OWWWW. I was pushing through the onset of another pain rush, head down, suffering, when the F5 passed me by - unbenounst to me. I couldn't see then end. No choice but to keep going but I wan ...

Since starting this journey I have been keeping pretty busy. Over the first weekend of June I was fortunate to meet some of the other girls going on the trip. It was great to meet them Read More »
