It began at 6pm with crowds out the front of sea world, so many that they needed crowd control! I heard through the two-way that they where still selling loads of tickets at the door and I had no idea what to expect.

At about 6.05pm the first group (a group of teenage girls I had never seen before) walked down the path into Dolphin Cove where myself, Jade, Richard and Catherine were waiting for them with flyer's in arms. For the first 10mins people (still no one I kn ... Read More »

Less than a week to go! Wow it's almost the 28th July already. Ticket sales are just over 300 last I heard on Friday so hopefully by the end of the week they will be at 500! fingers crossed. So as you can all imagine I've been very busy organising and finalising the big night. I still haven't though had a chance to even think about my speech yet. Hopefully though it will all just fall into place. The last few weeks have been to say the least have been a little stressful, but I am very fortunate to have some fantastic people around me that have helped me on this first leg of the journey. And I must say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me so far or bought tickets. People whom I haven't seen or spoken to in years are rounding up frie ... Read More »

It was challenging, tough and I couldnt walked for days after. I am glad I did it and feel really on top of the world for achieveing it.  However after the climb, work has got very hectic I havent had a chance to exercise as much as I would like to. I am try ... Hi all. Well ticket sales have started off slow but I'm told that is pretty normal and generally people leave it to the last minute. This makes it a little stressful since a lot depends on numbers. Most people I speak to though are very excited about the event which is good news. This week I've been posting flyers to everyone I know and for those of you who are yet to book don't forget. :-) Sounds like the other girls are getting things together. I'm looking forward to going to Catherine's event and seei ... Read More »

I was lucky enough to be on the receiving end of Kathmandu’s generosity on Monday. Salomon fixed me up with my boots too. I’m nearly fully kitted out with only a few things left to get. I tested my new gear against the elements today by braving the rain and freezing winds of St Kilda beach.
Besides being the only person on the beach, questioning my sanity, feeling precious about getting sand on my new boots and smelling like a wet dog (my favourite old wool beanie doesn’t smell so good when made soggy by the rain) ... Read More »
