Wow the drought has really broken in the south east of Victoria. Massive flooding which has proven very destructive but will inevitably help the farmers of South Australia as the waters flow into and fill the Murray River.

The people I have come into contact down here in SA have been very generous. It is extremely refreshing to come to a relatively small country town and experience what it feels like to be a part of a close knit
community. What a contrast to Sydney!

Thank you to Renee and the proprietor of "The Hairdresser" in Gawler for supporting me and giving me a hair cut and colour so I can look my best for Glamazon!

I had an interview with The Leader newspaper in the Barossa region yesterday which will hopefully get into next weeks edition. The response on the ground has been very positive from the article in the "Bunyip". I'm not sure how it is translating into sponsorship $ but the interest is definitely there and people are talking about the trek and the cause. I'm hoping to get into one more paper that covers the Adelaide Hills area and then Girls On Top will have surrounded Adelaide!

Wow!!

What an amazing read....your incredibly visual email of your first impressions of South America. Reading it at work surrounded by reminders of what a technological world we live in, it transported me instantly! Forwarded it to Lachy and look forward to hearing more about your incredible journey... my life is quite mundane by comparison so there won't be much exciting stuff in my entries...keep them coming (when you can!)..take care, savour the experience and look forward to catching up when you're back in Oz!!.....Lisa XX
