Only current female Australian residents living in Australia between June 20 2007 and December 31 2007 may apply.

Applicants must be 18 years or over.

Previous Girls on Top participants are excluded from the scholarship.

Successful finalists will be selected by Girls on Top and Kathmandu based on their application and response to questions listed in our Application Form. They will be notified via phone. An interview process will occur to decide on the final expedition candidate. The final expedition candidate will be notified via phone. In  the event that she does not accept, the other finalists will be offered the opportunity in an order nominated by the selection panel, based on their responses to the Application Form and judged suitability for the expedtion.

By entering this scholarship, and on being contacted as a finalist, the finalists acknowledge that they must be available for publicity purposes.

By entering this scholarship, and on being contacted as the successful applicant for the Scholarship, the candidate must acknowledge that they are willing and able to participate in the Girls on Top expedition from September 1, 2007 to October 1, 2007 and that they will be available and able to participate in surrounding activities and promotions for publicity purposes.

The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Entrants information is collected and collated by Kathamndu Ltd in conjunction with Girls on Top and will only be disclosed to Girls on Top and Kathmandu employees for marketing purposes to help keep you informed of products and sevices offered by Kathmandu and Girls on Top. Kathmandu and Girls on Top will not be liable for any injury whatsoever which is suffered or sustained as a result of accepting the scholarship.

The scholarship does not include travel insurance which is, however, a mandatory condition of joining the expedition and is the candidate's own responsibility. Insurance must be obtained before leaving on the Girls on Top 2007 Expedition.

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Kathmandu and Girls on Top will not be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered as a result of accepting this scholarship and participating in the Girls on Top expedition and all associated travel.

Entries must be submitted by the 27 July 2007. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Girls on Top reserve the right to change the published itinerary at any time, and advise all applicants that we are traveling in third world conditions, in remote environments where risks are inherent and shedule delays and changes frequent. It is the responsibility of all participants to make approporate choices for their wellbeing and safety. and to take out adequate insurance for their journey.
