Working as a travel writer, and escaping other roles pretty often to do travel of my own over the years, it has been a great blessing to have seen so much of the world. While there have been more luxurious journeys, it's the ones that have stretched me, suprised me, tested me and blessed me with a deeper understanding of myself and love for the world that I truly cherish. Girls on Top is an offer to other women to come share in the magical, mighty, sometimes down right mean world of mountains, and take an adventure in self discovery.

Before we even face our mountain there is a great journey to be traveled here at home, working with the team and with the media, business and our own 'little voices' which test, challenge and eventually get us through the extra work, fitness training and doubts and fears, thrills and spills of our fund raising missions.

Our trips aim to be an exchange of leadership, support and compassion for the people and environments we visit each year, and from whom we take great insights, strength and reminders of what is possible and meaningful in life. We leave a gift of financial support to one charity on the same continent, and hope to return to our own communities with a story that will uplift and inspire other women to take action toward their dreams - whatever they may be.
