My name is Jennifer Wright, but I am affectionately known to friends and family as Jen. I am 27 years old, live on the bay in Melbourne and enjoy life. I feel honoured to have been asked to join the 2006 Girls on Top team and I am looking forward to the journey ahead of me.

I am the National Promotions Manager here at Roadshow Films in Melbourne. For those not familiar with our company, Roadshow Films are part of Village Roadshow Limited. We are a film distribution company distributing theatrical movies to cinema in Australia and New Zealand. In addition to holding the exclusive distribution rights for movies produced by Village Roadshow Pictures, Roadshow Films has contracts to distribute movies from Warner Bros., New Line and other independent production houses. Roadshow Films has also been a strong supporter of the Australian film industry, recently releasing movies such as Wolf Creek, Jindabyne and the upcoming Australian comedy Boytown. In addition to its Australian and New Zealand distribution divisions, Village Roadshow also maintains distribution operations in Singapore and Greece.
Village Roadshow has generously sponsored the 2006 adventure to the Himalayas and as a result to a bizarre twist of fate, I have been lucky enough to become a member of 2006 expedition.
Since joining the team only one week ago, my life feels like it has turned upside down. I have just two weeks to go until we leave for India and 1000 things to do before I board the plane. I do have to say though, regardless of all the madness I am still enjoying every minute of preparing for the trip.
I am truly honoured to be taking part in this year’s expedition and I am really looking forward to my journey ahead.

I think that by being involved in this wonderful project, it will offer the entire team the chance to gain insight and learn more about the world in which we live. For me personally, I hope that the experience will not only provide me with the opportunity to broaden my view on the world and the diverse cultures within it, but to also allow me to use that wisdom to grow as a person and gain skills that will take me through life.

The theme for this year’s Girls on Top trip is HAPPINESS, which for me is all about my friends and my family. Without these people around me, I would not be the person that I am today. The support I have received from everyone over this past week has really inspired me and I am looking forward to sharing my stories with them all from abroad.
I am extremely lucky to be taking part in this wonderful voyage and I am looking forward to contributing to the team!!
