Jade Richardson - Director |
There are so many reasons why I love this project! It began as a daring adventure, a way for a group of Sydney women to shake off our own shackles and make a difference to others - but is has grown into something even more incredible. If you have a dream, a vision, a passion, a calling that urges you to live more, learn more, travel more, give more and take more on... then Girls on Top can be a platform from which to lauch your own amazing journey.
For me, it has become a way to connect people with wonderful ideas and hearts-full of spirit to others seeking to support, sustain and strengthen that urge. Through their fundraising and expeditions all our team members have left more than footsteps on their journeys. They have empowered people needing faith and resources, discovered how truly beautiful our world can be, and, I hope, brought home even more in courage, connection, compassion and self confidence than they expected. And who knows how far those ripples will reach? |

It was great to create a website for Girls on Top, they are a pleasure to work with. Every year when the trip is on I follow the blog with great anticipation. But most of the work I do for the girls is done before the trip getting all the info about their fundraising events, contest and sponsors on the site. Hope you like the site and any suggestions you have are welcome. |

Pips |
Little Pips joined the Girls on Top team as mascot, spirit guide and intuitive coach par excellence just before our second expedition got started in 2005. It was on a shopping trip to the Kathmandu store at Warringah Mall in Sydney (which actually only opened this year - nice synchronicity!) that our paths crossed, and Pip's first day as a team member was the same day as the first team meeting for our Andes to Amazon project.
A natural at stretching, walking, being happy in a crisis and knowing when to just sit, Pips is also a surprisingly good mountaineer - for a 3kg chick! She is a common sight at board meetings, team weekends, airports and campsites. Her favourite things are chicken, sunny corners and Girls on Top. |
